WSOPE - Full Tilt Poker European Series 2008
Jul 25, 2008
Now that the WSOP Final Table has been put on hold for a few months, it’s time to start focusing on the European version of this most prestigious live poker tournament – the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE). Full Tilt Poker has already begun hosting Satellites and Qualifiers, awarding players with $25,000 prize packages to the WSOPE in September.
Full Tilt Poker kicked off the European Series 2008 promotion in early July, guaranteeing at least one Qualifier every Sunday at the online poker room. A few incredibly skilled and very excited members of Full Tilt Poker have already won their seats in the WSOPE Main Event, where the final Qualifier is scheduled for August 31.
Weekly Qualifiers occur every Sunday at 4:30 p.m. ET at Full Tilt Poker. Players can buy-in directly to the WSOPE Qualifier for $500 + $35. For a much more cost effective seat in Full Tilt’s weekly Qualifiers, players can enter Satellite tournaments all throughout the week for as little as $1 or 50 Full Tilt Points.
A Full Tilt Poker European Series 2008 prize package is worth $25,000, with £10,000 (approx. $20,000 USD) going to the WSOPE Main Event buy-in, and the remainder (about $5,000) given to the player for travel, accommodations and spending cash.
London, England has set the scene for the 2008 World Series of Poker Europe to kick off September 19. The 6-Day WSOPE Main Event will get underway September 27 at London Clubs International, where the festivities will come to an end at the final table on October 2.
