Jennifer Harman

Jennifer Harman is considered to be one of the world’s best female poker players. She is the only female player who is a regular player in the $4,000-$8,000 blind limit poker game at the Bellagio. Although Harman has a reputation as being primarily a cash player, she is making a reputation in the tournament world. She won her first WSOP bracelet in 2000 playing No-Limit Deuce to Seven Lowball event, and her second bracelet in 2002 in the $5K limit Hold’em event. Jennifer Harman is currently the only woman with two bracelets in the WSOP open events. What is even more remarkable about her win in the No-Limit Deuce to Seven Lowball event is that she had never played the game before the event. She received a quick tutoring session on how to play and on the strategy before the event.

Harmon was born and raised in Reno, Nevada and started playing poker as a little girl. She graduated from the University of Nevada, and played cash games for many years before entering tournament competition.

Harman took a year off from poker in 2004 due to illness, but upon returning to the poker circuit, she has finished 4th at the World Poker Tour Five-Diamond World Poker Classic, 5th in the inaugural Professional Poker Tour event, and 2nd in the WSOP Circuit Championship Event in Rio.

Harman has also authored the limit hold’em chapter for Super System II, a book considered by many to be one of the more important books for any serious poker player.
